Antitrust and regulatory federalism: races up, down, and sideways

Article Abstract:

The author examines models of regulatory federalism as seen in competition law. She concludes the US and EU are competing to export their models of competition law while there is little competition under national antitrust regimes to attract investment, thus revealing a need for some procedural internationalization.

Corporate governance lessons from Russian enterprise fiascoes

Article Abstract:

The authors examine corporate governance, as it has been worked out in Russian business enterprises following privatization, and compare it to models in the US, Western Europe, and Japan. Russia's failure, they argue, can enlighten corporate law debate in other countries.

Private or public approaches to insuring the uninsured: lessons from international experience with private insurance

Article Abstract:

The author discusses mixed private/public health insurance systems in Australia, Chile, Germany, and the Netherlands, and the public systems of Canada, France, and the United Kingdom. The problem of the uninsured in the US is also covered.
