Environmental crime

Article Abstract:

The 1990s saw the focus of legislative and regulatory initiatives in many nations, on the improved protection of the physical environment. Sentencing guidelines in Minnesota, 1978-2003

Article Abstract:

Minnesota's guidelines, related sentencing laws and practices have evolved markedly since 1980. Sentencing is coordinated with available correctional resources and the guidelines remain simple to apply, but the sentencing commission's emphasis on punishment by justice is undermined by subsequent appellate case law, legislation and sentencing practices.
