How suite it is: three updated word processing packages make collaboration easier

Article Abstract:

The latest word processing functions found in the three major business application software suites, Corel Office Professional Suite, Lotus SmartSuite and Microsoft Office Professional, offer seamless access to the Internet and other features. Some are beginning to incorporate Java, and legal online services will be integrated into these applications. All the suites are so user-friendly that firms will find migration between products much easier than in the past.

Lost your notes? Not to worry; electronic notepad converts handwritten memoranda into digital data

Article Abstract:

The CrossPad is a digital notepad recording a person's handwriting and converting it to digital text. A special pen writes in ink and emits a signal that is recorded on the CrossPad screen. The completed notes are transferred to a computer, where they can be seen either as a graphic replica of the handwriting or converted into text. The lawyer still has the notes on paper if the device ever fails. Critics call it a $250 toy and the ultimate merchandising gimmick.
