A RAND study predicting that the asbestos industry has seen less than half of the claims to come is discussed. The study predicts that the remaining asbestos manufacturers will need to declare bankruptcy in the next two years.

Suits across the US claim that the Mormon church mishandled reports of pedophiles among its members and failed to protect children from molestation by them. Each suit claims the church followed a pattern of improper response to reports of abuse by Mormons and of trying to hush up the incidents to avoid embarrassment to the church, and each of the suits seeks millions of dollars in punitive damages from the church.
