Opening doors for diversity; TIPS and minority commission team up to expand awareness, opportunities

Article Abstract:

The ABA Section of Tort and Insurance Practice (TIPS) has made many efforts on behalf of minority attorneys. All of its section leaders must complete diversity training and the section has worked with the Commission on Opportunities for Minorities in the Profession to find qualified minority attorneys to assume the leadership of the section's committees. Robert E. Hirshon, the TIPS chair for 1996-97, is making diversity one of the themes of his leadership.
