Know artificial ingredients; understanding really is half the battle

Article Abstract:

An understanding of the concept of knowledge management requires a fundamental understanding of the use of artificial intelligence (AI). AI is primarily employed in devices that employ "fuzzy logic", which limits the number of rules considered by the computer instead of attempting to capture every possibility. The implementation of the Internet is bringing AI closer to a reality by increasing the value of larger networks. The ultimate form of AI may actually involve large networks of actual human brains, instead of using computers to mimic the brain processes. The use of traditional AI could transform the Legal Information Systems Assistant employed in all law offices and ultimately replace the need for IS staff.
