Microsoft case closes strangely; sphinxlike judge lets arguments go unchallenged

Article Abstract:

The article covers the anticlimactic end of the Microsoft antitrust trial, with the lead lawyers behaving in much the expected fashion, ignoring the other side's strongest legal arguments and evidence in closing arguments. The government's ignorance was of Netscape's strong Web browser business and of America Online's big plans for the future with its buyout of Netscape., while Microsoft's was of its incriminating e-mails.
