The basics about basic research

Article Abstract:

Efforts to boost the allocation of basic researches would be crucial in maintaining the country's status as the technological hub of the world. The proposed 100% increase in annual federal science budget would not only be valuable in developing new technologies, but in spurring economic development, as well. Through the help of industrial studies, telecommunication companies have provided better services to consumers, while allowing pharmaceutical firms to develop novel and highly efficient preparations. Research would continue to be a driving force in the country's development as long as the government limits intervention from such activities.
