Bankruptcy reform

Article Abstract:

Reforms are being sought by all sectors to reduce a bankruptcy list that is increasingly becoming longer. The National Bankruptcy Review Commission recommends a ceiling to prevent cases of abuse especially by states that set homestead exemptions. It also recommends reduction in exemption levels and access to discharge while working towards repealing applicability of the statute to consumer debtors.
