The emperor's clothes of disclosure: hot money and suspect disclosures

Article Abstract:

The authors examine the effects of laundered money resurfacing in the legitimate upper-world economy of the Netherlands. Methods are discussed for defending against such occurrences. The authors also analyze records of money distribution attempting to track and categorize crime-money volumes.

Sicilian cultures of violence: the interconnections between organized crime and local society

This article examines the social aspects of organized crime in Sicily, Italy, in the post-World War II period. Topics addressed include the relations between the Italian State and the Southern regions, violence in Sicilian culture, and the legal and moral aspects of organized crime in Sicily.

Victimized in Amsterdam: the organized reaction

Article Abstract:

The influence of the Amsterdam Tourist Assistance Service (ATAS) is discussed. ATAS intervention reduces the negative consequences felt by victims of crimes, and repairs the city's image that was probably hurt after the victimization.
