Dangerous skies: Agency roadblocks overcome to show millions of potential weapons seized

Article Abstract:

An analysis of federal data revealed that 16 million weapons were surrendered from February 2002 to March 2005. The number of weapons confiscated at all US airports, with charts revealing which airports found the most alongwith extensive online charts for each airport is presented.

Secrecy culture: Journalists developing strategies to access restricted information

The department's national strategy for transportation security plan remains classified, which encouraged state and local officials to act secretly. Journalist find it difficult to access information on homeland, security, budgets, grants and purchases.

Federal money: Security official equally confounded by list documenting stakes critical assets

Iowa law provided the list of critical assets of about 1400 entries to be replaced at mass destruction area affected by terrorist attack. The list pointed at interrelated systems of infrastructure than specific structure.
