Down home tips for green reporting

Article Abstract:

Newspaper reporters are increasingly focusing on environmental issues in the wake of the public's growing concern over the environment. Suggestions on how to report on the environment are given. The suggestions include following the rules of good journalism, avoiding jargon, hearing the arguments of each side involved in the debate, giving space to letter writers, giving enough details so the reader may know what the issues are and not falling into the trap of simplifying things by focusing on the economy-environment dichotomy.
