New attitudes for new frontiers

Future space colonizers could have negative attitudes towards space colonization because of regretful history of the European colonization of the New World. Colonizers should be aware of the atrocities which were committed in the past but it should not mean that they should avoid contact with other extraterrestial civilizations.
