Waco secrecy damaged public trust, report finds

Article Abstract:

The Danforth report on the government's handling of the 1993 raid on the Branch Davidian compound at Waco, Texas, is discussed, and charged that the failure to be candid with the public about the use of pyrotechnic devices did great damage to the public's confidence in government.

Video voyeurism law unconstitutional

Article Abstract:

A Wisconsin Supreme Court ruling in Wisconsin v. Yoder is discussed, invalidating a state video voyeurism law for being overbroad and unconstitutional. The ruling threw out the conviction of a man who had surreptitiously videotaped his ex-girlfriend in her home.

Shakur's lyrics attacking 'gangsta rap' critic are protected as opinion

Article Abstract:

The 3d Circuit ruled in the unpublished opinion of Tucker v. MTS, Inc. that a rapper's lyrics against a politician on a crusade against rap were opinion and thus protected from defamation claims.
