BBC2 cooks up fresh Masterchef

Article Abstract:

BBC2 is planning to air "Masterchef: the Professionals", a contest for UK chefs wherein the prize is a work placement in a Michelin-starred kitchen . The channel's other show "Masterchef Goes Large", meanwhile, will be placed in a primetime slot. The plans for the new television program and the success of the "Masterchef" spin-offs are discussed.

Making Thursdays funny on BBC2

BBC2 is in need of new television comedies, as "The Catherine Tate Show" and "Extras" moved to BBC1. BBC2 is known for its widely successful sitcoms such as "Absolutely Fabulous" and "GimmeGimmeGimme". The BBC2's successful comedy shows, and its commissioning plans, are discussed.
