BBC's black Wednesday ratings headaches go on

Article Abstract:

BBC1's prime time share fell to 13.9% on Wednesday of the week ending 22nd February 2004. The bigger structural problem for BBC is the lack of an EastEnders episode on Wednesday that leaves BBC1's schedule more vulnerable than any other night of the week.

EastEnders eclipses BBC3's original content

Television viewing during the week was decidedly dull, with the only real attention-getter the nine-o'clock news on ITV. The BBC's programming seems to be getting worse and worse, as the public spends billions to keep it going.
