Carlisle called to run BBC/Discovery outfit

Article Abstract:

BBC Worldwide and Discovery Communications has named Candace Carlisle as chief operating officer of its co-production and distribution unit in New York. Carlisle will give face to BBC's marketing efforts in North America through her role in the New York-based JVP. Andy Fry said JVP is at the core of activities being orchestrated by a global alliance, that was formalized in March 1998. Carlisle, who used to run the sales and co-productions at BBC Worldwide Americas, will distribute BBC shows and supervise funding of programs aimed at the US and Canadian markets.
