Article Abstract:

Sunday's "Coronation Street" received over 15 million viewers for ITV, however, Thursday's primetime shares gives BBC 1's 33% the lead over ITV's 31%. "Crossroads'" March debut received 3.1 million viewers, but has declined since to 1.8 million on April 9.

Match of the Day swipes smiles from Premiership

BBC 1's 'Match of the Day' beat ITV's 'The Premiership' in ratings for the week ending August 26, 2001 with 3.54 million viewers. Saturday primetime remains a problem for ITV, who is behind by 23 per cent to BBC 1's 38 per cent.
