DTT tipped to win digital TV contest

Article Abstract:

Digital terrestrial TV (DTT) is expected to dominate the market over satellite and cable television platforms according to a TBS report titled Digital Television: Can you get it? The report predicts that the DTT format could attract more subscribers that other formats in the next 15 years because of its installation and accessibility is easier than the rival formats. The report also predicted that BSkyB, a digital satellite TV (DST) provider, will be greatly affected since up to 30% of British homes cannot have access to its offering unless these homes will be connected to one DST system.
