Article Abstract:

BBC's timetable for the move towards tapeless production will be propelled by the 2007 deadline and MXF and AAF technologies. Between 2007 and 2010, BBC will migrate to high-definition tapeless capture for licence fee funded production. The advanced authoring format (AAF) will extend the vocabulary of the edit standards.
