Entertainment shows attract youth to BBC3

Article Abstract:

BBC3 has been targetting the youth market with a line of high rating entertainment shows, with "Doctor Who Confidential" at the end of June 2007 attracting 905,000 viewers or a 5.57% share. "The Most Annoying Pop Songs... We Hate to Love" garnered a 6.53% share on March 31, with 32% of total viewers coming from ages 16 to 34. Other audience-share rating news, and a list of the top 10 shows on BBC for 2007 to date, are given.

BBC1 recorded a sharp increase in its viewers because of the Wimbledon tennis tournament. The ratings of audience viewing other Wimbledon tennis matches are also presented.
