Mpeg-4, developed by the Moving Picture Experts Group in 1998, is interactive media's international standard, and is flooding the United Kingdom market. Companies such as Mitsubishi, Motorola, and Toshiba have been marketing this service on their portable hand-held devices. Although Mpeg-4 is successful, it may suffer if it cannot keep up with the market's constant technological changes.
