Global is City favourite to bid for Emap Radio

Article Abstract:

City consensus has it that Global Radio is leading the pack of potential purchasers of Emap radio. Guardian Media Group (GMG) and GCap Media are also strong contenders. GMG could be commendableas it now has the money to invest, but GCap would still have to secure the capital needed to bid for Emap. There could be regulatory challenges for the three bidding radio companies, which depend on whether Ofcom format regulations and ownership restrictions will let up.
