Article Abstract:

A report is presented on Ofcom's proposal for cutting of ITV's regional non-news hours from three hours to one and half per week, starting early next year. Instead of immediate reduction of the hours, the need for phased withdrawal over the next two years is discussed.

BBC defends new financial interest rules

Article Abstract:

The British Broadcasting Co.'s decision to permit only the declaration of interests of its executive committee members and its governors is being defended by the company. The BBC will allow such declarations on a list of company-linked companies.
