Tower fence and sign posting requirements

Article Abstract:

Fencing and sign postings for broadcasting transmission towers are required unless the tower's radio frequency radiation does not have a significant environmental impact. AM towers, unlike FM and TV towers of specific construction, are required to be enclosed within a locked fence with warning signs to prevent human contact. Lockout/tagout regulations are also required when electricity is shut off.
