Interview

Article Abstract:

Photojournalist Donna Ferrato feels that pictures of the perpetrators of domestic violence taken in the the privacy of their homes can be used as proof against them. She also believes that such photographs can protect her from physical dangers posed by living with the families where domestic violence exists. Ferrato feels that the photographs can provide some sort of defense against the perpetrator, as he will be deterred from assaulting her. Ferrato relives the scenes of intimate violence she encountered while photograping domestic violence in the home of a drug addict.
