Interview

Article Abstract:

W.C. Heinz, a World War ll correspondent for the New York Sun reveals that he owes his success as a reporter to the inspiration he got from the ordinary soldiers who were doing the fighting. Heinz asserts that the motivational impetus to cover wars also arose from a moral and professional commitment towards the job and its ethics. However, Heinz feels that the situation in the combat zone is not conducive to taking notes as correspondents are wary of getting hurt. Heinz relates how close he came to experiencing death while covering the war front in Germany during World War ll.
