Article Abstract:

'Touching the void' a docu-drama by John Smithson, was a journey into the unknown, about the two climbers who set off to climb the Andean peak Siula Grande in 1985 and met their ill-fated end. It took a lot of effort to make the film, which has been written by one of the climbers Simpson on his return.
