Mobile news: is it worth paying for?

With an influx of video-enabled mobile phones in the market, ITN seized the initiative for providing video-based news service. Working in conjunction with Vodafone, charging 50p per day or [pounds sterling]4 per month, ITN allows the customers of Vodafone Live! Portal to access its new service. The challenges facing the future of paid-for mobile news are u peopleEs expectations for free news, how far people will use video-mobiles, and BBCEs plans, if any, for free mobile news. Information is presented on video-based news offerings of other networks, including T-Mobile, 3 UK, Orange and O2.

Death of the red button?

Channel 4 has discontinued its red button interactive services. The reasons that prompted the Channel 4 to shelve this new technology are discussed.
