The appointment of Greg Dyke on the media advisory board of Apax, a private equity firm has generated intense speculation about his role in the acquisition of the [pounds sterling]4.45 billion ITV. One opinion is that Greg could bring in 5% with venture capitalists providing the rest, ensuring that he would feel the pain if the shares lost value. Others felt that ITV could end up as a division within a large company like Disney or Viacom.

ITN drops out of EuroNews channel
