The Office of Communications in the United Kingdom is poised to act on a law that would require review of media ownership rules biannually. The percentage of single company, European, and non-European ownership of British broadcasting companies may change after 2003.

Lords deal 'blocks' Murdoch Five bid

Rupert Murdoch's bid to acquire Channel Five in the United Kingdom has been stopped by concessions made in a deal between Lord Puttnam and the government. The concessions were related to the Communications Bill.
