Row over future of Parliamentary TV

Article Abstract:

NTL, Telewest, Cable & Wireless Communications (CWC) are involved in a heated debate over a potential sale of the Parliamentary Channel to the BBC. Insiders say the three major shareholders of the channel are said to have three main subjects of contention, one of which is the desire the Telewest and CWC to sell channel to the BBC immediately. Meanwhile, NTL, believed to be anxious over the planned selling price, appears eager to continue Parliamentary as a cable-backed channel. Loans given to the channel by shareholders are also subject of their debate.
