Sony Pictures Entertainment, a leader among U.S. studio producers, also has stakes in various foreign ventures and is looking to moving into new, emerging areas such as India and Asia. The company also boasts long-standing alliances with local television and film producers and distributors in Hong Kong, Brazil and Germany. This article focuses on Sony's role in the worldwide film industry and how the company is preparing for the broadband switch.
