The night when caravans flew

Article Abstract:

"Britain's Biggest Storm" is a TV documentary on ITV1 which features the 1987 hurricane in Britain. Executive producer Jim Allen came up with the idea, and there was very little actual footage available, so the production had to recreate the event. The pitching of the idea and the challenges the production team had to overcome are discussed.

Article Abstract:

John Lloyd, creator of the game show QI, believes the program stands out because it goes against the prevailing culture of television programs. The game show, which gives out points for being interesting rather than correct, was initially offered to BBC1 before ending up with BBC2.
