Tiger Aspect restructures after losing its Vertue

Article Abstract:

Tiger Aspect Productions will initiate a restructuring after Sue Vertue leaves early in 1999 as director and producer to join her mother, Beryl Vertue, at Hartswood Films. Tiger Aspect will divide into two its current management board, as well as promote business development manager Andy Zein to commercial director. Zein will likewise be a member of a holding company board that will supervise every production and distribution venture of Tiger Aspect such as its share in Tigress Productions and Shearman Productions, both independents. Vertue, who is known for her 'Mr Bean' and 'The Vicar of Dibley' shows, will leave Tiger Aspect after she co-produces 'Comic Relief.'

Zenith Group joins forces with Team

Article Abstract:

Zenith Group, an independent producer, is merging with Television Enterprise & Asset Management (Team), a City-backed investor and rights-owner, to form Zenith Entertainment. The new outfit will be a production and global rights exploitation operation that will be engaged in partnerships to invest in original properties. Ivan Rendall, managing director of the Zenith Group, will become the director of production of Zenith Entertainment. Steve Matthews, managing director of team, will be the chief executive of the new company. Rendall said that Zenith Entertainment will be a market-led business instead of an ideas-led one.
