Trade secrets

Article Abstract:

The programming trade gap in the United Kingdom is over 100 million pounds sterling overdrawn because far more programmes are being imported from the United States than are being exported. Experts say that the United Kingdom needs to sell serials with approximately 20 episodes, because it is these that are the most popular with the American market. One benefit of the American market is that programmes can be shown on several channels in an alternating manner. Quality factual programmes continue to be popular, and also programmes such as Inspector Morse and Pride and Prejudice.
