UK firm invents new motion-capture kit

Article Abstract:

Image Metrics, an animation company in the UK, has developed a technology that allows facial movements to be captured without the use of pads or sensors. The device is of interest to companies in the film, gaming, television, music, virtual advertising and animation industries. Three different systems now available are Realface for real-time or 3D characters; Gameface for computer game animation, and Filmface for 3D television and film makers.
