Virgin shares suffer as potential suitor deserts

Article Abstract:

Companies have been affected by the US subprime mortgage crisis, which had funding available for mergers and acquisitions hindered. Virgin Media, which announced in July 2007 that it was for sale, was affected by the situation and had one potential buy-out group pulling out of the bidding, this causing fears that other suitors may also withdraw. A list of companies with media shares is presented.
