The best show for 2007, "Top Gear" listed 6.7 million viewers or a 23% share on its December 2, 2007 episode, impressive for a show on BBC2 which is a relatively small channel. Other notable shows for 2007 are "The X Factor", "Britain's Got Talent", "Secret Millionaire" and "Panorama: Taking on the Taliban". The varied ratings of these shows are also discussed.

Postcard shows fail to cheer up summer viewers

Article Abstract:

BBC's Mountain picked up 4.7 million viewers and 21% share on 12 August 2007, narrowly losing out to ITV1's Britain's Favourite View which had 4.7 million and 23% share. The narrow editorial scope of such programs is criticized as London-centric.
