Working group on healthy fish habitats: creating benchmarks for success

Article Abstract:

The National fish habitat has taken the responsibility to concentrate the national resources towards some general issues with high priority and also change the declining trend of the fish habitats. In North America, a working group would be formed by the people who are interested in improving the state of aquatic life, and also benchmarks would be set to know how effectively they have succeeded in this project.

Funding wildlife conservation: From CARA to CARA-Lite to CARA-lighter?

Article Abstract:

Congress created the State Wildlife Grants program commonly referred as CARA-Lite after the first program CARA failed, to fund conservation of wildlife in the United States and the failure of the funding is discussed. The federal funding to State Wildlife conservation was considerably reduced due to significant physical difficulties and the Nation is looking at Congress to help the program to succeed.

ALAB's unified voice heard during wallop-breaux reauthorization

Article Abstract:

The Sport Fish Restoration Act is up for reauthorization this year and the American League of Anglers and Boaters (ALAB) is getting into high gear on Capitol Hill to ensure that anglers, boaters, and industry interests are represented during Congressional reauthorization of the law. Four amendments to the Sport Fish Restoration Act that significantly altered the program are stated.
