2d Force Reconnaissance Company at war

Article Abstract:

The article describes the role of the 2d Force Reconnaissance Company in supporting the relationship between Task Force Tarawa and Special Operations Command forces. Along with the specialized skills possessed by the Marines, doctrinal tactics, techniques and procedures were adapted to the battlespace realities. This enabled the Commanding General to conduct simultaneous operations throughout the battlespace.

Zero defects, second chances, and Chesty Puller

Article Abstract:

Lieutenant General Lewis B. 'Chesty' Puller worked hard for almost seven years to earn his Marine Corps officer commission. He went on to serve 31 years, and to earn many decorations.

An approach to examining ongoing military operations is discussed. Assessment follows the planning and of a mission, and coincides with the mission's execution.
