A common footing

Article Abstract:

Information interoperability, one of the key features of military interoperability among allied forces, is expected to be one of the most critical factors in future military strategies. As proven in such conflicts as the NATO Operation Allied Force in Kosovo, Yugoslavia, a basic level of information interoperability is needed to succeed in such undertakings. The success of multinational operations, especially those outside of NATO, will depend largely on achieving information interoperability among the various units at the shortest possible time.

Getting it right

Article Abstract:

Modern defense systems hinder the operational capability of military systems due to their unreliability and lack of testing of the systems before their actual applications. The defects in the weapons system development result in massive errors. However, testing the product provides the chance to fully measure the effectiveness and efficiency of modern defence systems in a given environment and this gives the developers and Armed Forces services the time to eliminate technical problems.
