A bit of ribbon

Article Abstract:

Marines involved in Iraq war are decorated with various awards for their valor and achievement on the battlefield. Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) writes up recommendations for various awards, however, recently medals like presidential Unit Citation (PUC) was downgraded and MEF I was awarded the Naval Unit Citation but Marines were not happy with this down gradation.

Winning back public support

Article Abstract:

Various polls over last couple of years in the U.S. have indicated public disapproval over the continuing war in Iraq. The U.S military is fighting a hard battle in Iraq and they feel that they need to win the public support and that sufficient political moral courage will reinvigorate the public opinion.

View through a sniper scope: Ignore the media, stay the course

Article Abstract:

The opinion of a Marine sniper on media reports on the GWOT (global war on terror) is presented. He believes that the GWOT is more similar to the World War II than the Vietnam War.
