Advanced competition: New military training requirements loom, and aircraft to meet them are lining up

Article Abstract:

The advance training programme conducted for several new and existing models are competing to fill a number of upcoming requirements. The multinational Advanced European Jet Pilot Training (AEJPT) effort, known as Eurotraining is a proposed joint integrated pilot training program intended to meet future European advanced pilot training requirements and provide a standardized syllabus including all flight and ground-based training for the advanced and lead-in fighter training phases.

Guided-missile cruisers (CG)

Article Abstract:

'Port Royal' is the last of the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser (CG), which was commissioned on 4th July 1994. Aegis Combat System and SPY-1 radar enables the Ticonderoga-class cruisers to control all friendly aircrafts operating in its area and also track the enemy aircraft.

Bristling with new gear, USS Pinckney joins Pacific Fleet

Article Abstract:

USS Pinckney, the 41st ship of the Arleigh Burke class will join the US Pacific Fleet on 29 May 2004. It is outfitted with new radar designed to detect and track sea-skimming missiles in cluttered, near shore environments.
