Afghans have voted for change, but it will come only if the U.S. stays the course

Article Abstract:

The signs of progress are seen in Afghanistan, which is one American-led intervention that could wind up making people's lives better. Afghanistan's President Hamid Karzai and his ministers are struggling to overcome decades of foreign aggression and civil warfare that shattered the infrastructure but with steadfast commitment by the United States administration and Congress, a law-based state can be created in Afghanistan.

Tough road ahead

Article Abstract:

The power yielding strategies of the leaders of the Iraq Governing Council (IGC) are discussed. The emergence of Islamists as a factor of Iraqi politics is highlighted. U.S. plan for Iraq is fundamentally flawed; therefore it should rethink its plan in terms of democracy in Iraq.

Successful elections in Afghanistan

Article Abstract:

The safe environment maintained by the International Security Assistance Forces (ISAF) lead to the successful free elections in Afghanistan. The positive attitude and the support from the people of Afghanistan helped in making the democratic elections successful.
