Air power in the 21st century

Article Abstract:

Air power is considered as the most prominent manifestation of an ongoing revolution in military affairs (RMA). The use of precision air-to-surface weapons, in particular, in modern-day conflicts is seen as the most exclusive components of RMA. The Kosovo War in Yugoslavia, planned, fought and won without the involvement of ground forces, is considered as the first successful battle fought during the RMA period.
