Air power - the Turkish vision

Article Abstract:

Gen. Cumhur Asparuk, the Commander of the Turkish Air Force, assesses the current significance of air power doctrine and its future evolution. The Turkish Air Force after the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq reviewed its structure, doctrines as well as modernization programmes and considered the sensitive responsibility of maintaining security and stability in volatile and rough regions.

Czech military transformation - An analysis

Article Abstract:

Czechoslovakia has become the second post-communist country after Hungary to remove conscription to its military and its armed forces are now fully made up of volunteers. This, and other areas where transformation has occurred in the country's defense sector making it a role model for other countries, is analyzed.
