Another boost for CNGF

Article Abstract:

Matra BAe Dynamics UK's owning of UKAMS, which develops and will produce the UK variant of PAAMS (Principal Anti-Air Missile System) for the Common New Generation Frigate (CNGF), as its wholly owned subsidiary pushes forward the CNGF program. The agreement between former UKAMS shareholders, Matra BAe Dynamics, British Aerospace plc and GEC-Marconi will promote CNGF, despite criticisms about the frigate's future. The transfer of UKAMS will give Matra BAe Dynamics the prime-contractor role for the UK variant, while the PAAMS command and control system will be divided between Matra BAe Dynamics and GEC-Marconi.
