The long and winding road to quality health care

Article Abstract:

Military health care is the most nagging issue that the Dept of Defense and Congress will have to deal with in 2000 as the issue was kept burning mostly by beneficiaries' dissatisfaction with TRI-CARE. In response, Congress formed the Defense Medical Oversight Committee to resolve the problem of military health care. Leaders of both congressional chambers have publicly stated that they would resolve the issue before Congress adjourns on Oct 2000.
