Armor survivability kits

Article Abstract:

The Humvee armor survivability kit (ASK) was added to deployed Humvees to protect drivers and passengers against small arms and explosive device fragment threats. The ASK was started following a request from Central Command's Combined Joint Task Force 7 to increase the survivability of soldiers mounted in the Humvee who were performing missions such as reconnaissance, convoy escort, re-supply missions and military police activities around Baghdad.

Expanding logistics responsibilities

Article Abstract:

The US joint task force (JTF) has provided immediate medical aid and humanitarian assistance to people suffered from earthquake in Java in Southern Indonesia. This shows that the US ground forces, Air forces and Naval forces provide protection not only to their nation but also hold responsibilities globally.

The Buffalo, which is manufactured by Force Protection, is a new, heavyweight wheeled vehicle, designed specially for land mine and route entrance operations. The main philosophy of the vehicle is to provide a safe cocoon for the occupants of the vehicle.
